After meeting bassist Henry Franklin(Nyimbo) on the Doug Carn recording session 'Enfant Eyes', Henry asked me to write a piece for his upcoming,first, Black Jazz session--The Skipper. This was the first of several that he recorded; I later became a member of his band.
